Description
Tunisian Style Five Piece Small Brass Menorah Birds of Prey Mihrabs for Oil. This Menorah is styled after an antique. Probably made in Israel in the 1950s or 1960s but could be older. Has been used for burning oil for Hannukah. In excellent condition. Cast Brass with pierced back and side plates. Very charming design. Very well casted. Stands freely on its own. Has flowers, birds of prey, Mirhabs, and a Hamsa on each side piece. A similar Menorah can be found in the Steiglitz Collection in the Israel Museum. Very heavy weight. Has been cleaned. Back appears to be gilded. Pieces are soddered together. Height is 5 inches. Width is 4 inches. Depth is 1 3/4 inches. Weight 380 grams (13 ounces). Probably used for wall hanging. Very decorative, vintage item.
