Description
George Engel WPA Art Deco Watercolor Michigan Avenue 1920s/ 1930s. Very light colors depict a beautiful day in Chicago. The piece is done of the Art Institute of Chicago facing Michigan Avenue. The piece came from the Marshall Fields Gallery. There is a write up on the back about Chicago Artist, Loredo Taft, who made the lion sculptures in front of the Art Institute. Size of the work is 6.5X7 inches. With the frame it is 13.25X14.5 inches. A very nice rendition of a Chicago piece. Very scarce to come by nice Chicago pieces.
