Emily Parks New York WPA Era Modernist Lithograph “U.S.O. Show” Burlesque dancers. Probably 1930s. New York/ Ashcan school. Depicts a burlesque show with a happy male audience. Man playing piano in the background. Incredible topic. Social realism. Reminiscent of Reginald Marsh. Size of the work is about 13X20 inches. Has a few condition issues, as seen in photographs. Some condition issues. Probably made on poor quality paper because the artist had limited resources. Discoloration, upper right hand corner missing. Please see photos. Very rare piece. Only 6 made as stated in pencil by the artist. Signed lower right. A magnificent piece for any serious collection.
