Emil Armin Jewish Chicago modernist colored pastel of a brilliantly colored tree in fall. Size is 12X9 inches. Originally from R.H. Love Galleries in Chicago. Titled “Playground Tree” and dated 1964. His work is very scarce.
Emil Armin studied at the Art Institute of Chicago under George Bellows, Herman Sachs, and Randall Davey. He exhibited frequently in the No-Jury Society and the Chicago Society of Artists. He worked for the WPA. Armin is best known for his modern, naïve style of art.
