Watercolor
Watercolor paint is a translucent art medium. Watercolor is basically a colored pigment in a water-soluble binder. The paint dissolves when you add water allowing the pigment to spread with a brush.” Most of the paint is made from gum arabic.
It takes true talent to be a good watercolorist because since the paint is water-based, it dries much faster. Therefore an artist must work faster to achieve the desired results. Watercolor is commonly painted on a paper surface. Some true watercolorists avoid using white paint in their compositions. This is because they have mastered the technique of using the white background paper for achieving the white color effects (see the watercolor by Francis Chapin , Gouache is a bit of a hybrid between both watercolor and paint.
